Michelin Scholar Testing Information

3/4/21 Michelin Scholar Testing Reg - Seniors only

12th-grade students have the opportunity to take the Michelin aptitude test (PTI & Bennett) if they are interested in applying for the Michelin Technical Scholars program. Students must pass both tests offered by Michelin in the same test session in order to become an applicant for the Michelin Scholars Program. Anyone interested is allowed to take the test only 3 times in a lifetime.

Testing will be offered on March 4, 2021 at Lexington Technology Center's Multipurpose Room at 9 a.m. Students must register and bring a permission form (for travel and miss class) to participate. Questions? See Ms. Augsburger or Mr. Magyar in E202 and E203

The ASVAB test (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) will be administered on Friday, March 19 at 9 a.m. at LHS. This test is available to students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grade.

ASVAB scores are used to determine if you are qualified to enlist in the military and to assign you to an appropriate job in the military. The ASVAB is also a great career exploration tool.

Taking the test does not obligate you, or register you for military service.

Students can sign up for the ASVAB in room E-202 and E-203, or they can email Mr. Magyar (Career Specialist) or Mrs. Augsburger (Career Specialist) at gmagyar@lexington1.net and daugsburger@lexington1.net

FREE Math Tutoring

FREE, student led math tutoring will be offered in room A111, from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Students should arrange for their own transportation after tutoring is over. Those wishing to get help, need not stay the entire hour, but must exit the building when they are no longer interested in working.

Students wishing to attend should engage with their math teachers and let them know they will be attending, and seek advice on what should be accomplished during the help session. Space will be limited due to the size of the A111. It is very much appreciated when math teachers, students or parents email Ms. Klopfer to let confirm attendance prior to arrival. We don't want to turn anyone away due to space.
