Weekly Announcements & Updates
*Attention Students and Parents! Exams are coming up fast! December 13-16 will be half days with exams on December 15 & 16. Attendance is required each day and students may not take their exams early without prior approval of Mr. Woods.
*Attention Seniors! Senior makeup photo day is THIS MONDAY, November 28th. Standard session is $30 and includes 6 formal poses and 8 casual poses. The basic Session is $20 and includes 4 formal and 4 casual poses. Money is due on day of photo. Tux and Drape provided. Bring your favorite casual outfit.
*Please support the Lee High School Track Team at their Fish Fry & Chicken Plate Fundraiser! This event will take place in the cafeteria in the rear of the school on Saturday, December 3rd between 11:00am and 2:00pm. Plate includes chicken for $12 or fish for $15 as well as baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, a slice of cake, and a canned drink. See any track team member or parent for tickets!
*Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. Any student interested in entering the military after graduation should plan to take it. The test will be given at school Tuesday, December 6th at 9am in the Lecture Hall and is open to all Juniors and Seniors. Sign up at this link by Friday, December 2nd!
*Yearbooks are on sale now! To order go to MySchoolFees and look for yearbooks. Early sale price is $35 or $40 with your name engraved. This price lasts now until January 6th. After January 7th, the cost will be $40 or $45 with your name engraved. See Ms. King with any questions!
Shout-Outs
- Shout-out to our Freshmen Students of the week from the week before Thanksgiving Break! Nieama Mitchell comes to us from Chapman Middle School. Here at Lee, she is a part of the Girls Basketball Team and takes theatre class. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym and playing basketball. She is always smiling and saying hi to everyone she sees. After graduating from Lee. she wants to go to a HBCU for college and become a nurse. Chase McNealey also comes to us from Chapman Middle School. Here at Lee, he is a member of the band where he plays the tenor drum. He played baseball for Lee his 7th & 8th grade year and plans to play again next year. In his free time, he enjoys playing games, playing basketball and baseball, and practicing his drumming skills. After graduating from Lee, he wants to go to Jackson State University to major in business and play in the band or become a welder. Huge congratulations and celebrations are in order for two Lee Esports students - Aulton Rorie and Parsa Vard! Aulton Rorie has qualified for the High School Esports League (HSEL) playoffs for Brawlhalla coming in 19th place in the league. Parsa Vard also qualified for HSEL playoffs for Minecraft coming in at 12th place demolishing the hundreds of other players in the league. Each student will continue their season this week! Be sure to wish them luck!

- Auditions for our Fall Musical "The Wiz" will be November 28th from 4:00-6:00pm in Mrs. Daniel's room with callbacks on November 29th. You must have 60 seconds of a song prepared to perform for your audition. Make sure you choose a song that shows your vocal range!
- Lee High Theatre presents "A Charlie Brown Christmas" December 15 & 16 at 7:00pm and December 17 at 2:00pm in the theatre.
Celebrations
- Shout out to our Dance Magnet and Tech Magnet students who worked super hard to put on two amazing performances of ‘Ignite the Fire’ before break!
- We want to shout-out all of our students who are taking their events to the State Trumbauer competition this weekend in Troy! Break a leg!!
