How to make a solution
For this example, we will be making a 40% solution. In order to do this, we need to know how much substance we need. If we need 40 mL of anesthesia we need to dilute it with 60 mL of wate, so the final product is 40% anesthesia.
In this experiment, we test the percentage of solutions. We are doing to this to see if, hypothetically, if a patient died in surgery due to overdose on anesthesia or of other causes. More than a 40% solution is lethally toxic, so we tested solutions from 10-60% and then tested the mystery solution to see the concentration.
