There is No School April 3-7th ... Have a Happy & Relaxing Spring Break

A Letter from the Principal

Dear Families, Staff, and Stakeholders,

I want to thank the entire Evansdale community for your support with our STEM initiative. I want to also thank the Evansdale staff and students for their hard work in preparation and during our STEM review last week. We are so excited that we have been STEM certified through AdvancED. Within the next several days, we will receive a detailed report regarding our STEM evaluation visit from our AdvancED Review Team as well as official AdvancED certification materials and logos. The Evansdale STEM team will use the recommendations from the AdvancED report and set goals for the upcoming school year. We look forward to building stronger partnerships to provide our students real world connections and integrating more inquiry-based learning practices throughout the curriculum.

For more information about STEM Certification, please refer to the AdvancED website.

A Word of Thanks from the Evansdale Foundation...

The Evansdale Foundation would like to thank the whole community for its support during the PowerUP spring fundraiser. Thank you especially to our DONORS (we’ve raised $10,000 and counting for technology), to the teachers for joining us in the fun celebration party, to the EvansDads band for literally rocking the house, and to our STEM leadership, committee, and Ms. Chattman for their intensive efforts to get STEM Certified this spring.

And with deep gratitude for your generosity and devotion to the school, we would like to thank our Legacy iPad donors – 22 of 26 iPads have been sponsored by Evansdale family and friends below. Please email gtuggey@yahoo.com if you would like to PowerUP your investment to an iPad – iPads will be labeled with family sponsors this summer, and the kids will enjoy seeing who provided the iPads they are using.
