The State of the Arts
Digital Quarterly Publication of the Arts in PCSD
Still Singing, Dancing, Creating, Playing...Still Having Fun!
Welcome to our fall 2020 publication of The State of the Arts!!
We could jump on the bandwagon and fuss about the frustrating year we have all had and how 2020 has been horrible. We could point out all of the very real issues that have arisen with this global health crisis; however, we have chosen to let the arts in Paulding be a place of refuge from what continues to be a stressful time for everyone. Our students and teachers are not just surviving but we are thriving.
Music is being made - sweet music! Songs of hope, songs of encouragement, songs of peace!
Art is being shared - healing art! Art for restoration, art for reflection, art for inspiration!
The fine and performing arts in Paulding are alive and well. I invite you to take a look at our very packed columns below to see the amazing artwork, watch the clips of performances, and see the smiles on the faces of our beautiful children, our resilient students, and the passionate teachers who lead them.
As you do so, you will see that Arts Education is Essential! People turn to the arts in times of trouble. I have seen wonderful and blessed things through the arts during these days - I hope you will also see the wonderful and blessed things through our publication this fall.
Engage. Inspire. Prepare.
