Queen Elizabeth I

Queen Elizabeth I
My father and sister created so much turmoil between the Catholics and the Protestants. The citizens were falling into and out of favor because they didn't want to say what they believed in. In 1587 I arrested my cousin Mary Queen of Scots for involvement in many assassination attempts. She was executed 20 years later. In 1588 my navy defeated the Spanish Armada. The weather had been a deciding factor in out victory. Sir Francis Drake had led the voyage to take on the Spanish Armada.
During the later years my authority over England had weakened. This led to riots over food shortages and rebellions. England had also suffered from inflation, failed crops, and unemployment, yet I was still devoted to my people.
Queen Elizabeth died on march 24, 1603. With her death came the end of the house of Tudor, the royal family that ruled England since the late 1400's.
