NAEP TESTING
India Hook Elementary has been chosen as one of the schools in Rock Hill to participate in the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) testing this year. The test will be THIS WEDNESDAY and only about half of 4th grade will be taking the test. NAEP will bring representatives and their own equipment to test on 2/27/19. It's about a 2 hour test and students can be tested on Math, Reading, or Science. The information gathered from this test will help policymakers improve education.
If your student brings a letter home with them with their report card they have been one of the students chosen at random to take the test. Below are some websites that contain information about NAEP that can help with some common questions. If you have more questions you can contact Mr. Fielder at 803-985-1616 or dfielder@rhmail.org.

EVERY KID IN A PARK PROGRAM
Hey fourth graders! See America’s natural wonders and historic sites for free. You and your family get free access to hundreds of parks, lands, and waters for an entire year. Explore ancient dwellings. See a waterfall taller than a building. Stay close to home, or travel somewhere new. This year's the perfect time for an unforgettable outing.
This is a program that was brought back to my attention. Thank you Mrs. Kingsford!! Go to the link, click "Play" in the 4th graders box, and follow a few short steps to print your family's free pass. Then, thank your 4th grader for being a 4th grader!
