Baier's Box
We have recently seen and uptick in vandalism in our bathrooms as well as an uptick in students being tardy to class.
Families, I encourage you to talk with your student(s) on the importance of making good choices, leading by example and not succumbing to peer pressure. We have taken measures on our part with increased supervision of hallways during passing periods in order to minimize the opportunity for vandalism in our bathrooms.
Students, please maintain PRIDE expectations in our bathrooms and report any vandalism to Mr. Baier, Mrs. Hall or your teachers.
Families, I also encourage you to talk to your student(s) about the importance of getting to class in a timely manner. Class time is valuable and any time that is missed is crucial to their learning.
Students, step up to the plate and hustle to class!

The survey results are used by our principals to help guide their improvement efforts at the individual schools.
To take the survey please visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/ and select the appropriate survey to begin.

News from the Nurse
Northwood Families,
Just a reminder that if your student requires any medication to be given or used during the school day, a new medication authorization form needs to be completed by a parent/guardian AND health care provider. If your student uses an inhaler or EpiPen and is able to administer those medications to themselves, then a "Self administration form" needs to be completed by both parent/guardian AND health care provider and returned to the health office. Those are the only two medications that a student may give themselves at school, as long as that form is completed and handed in.
Any ordered medications to be dispensed at school can be dropped off by a parent or guardian. The medication must be in the original, labeled, and unopened container, along with the medication authorization form completed. If the medication is over the counter, it still requires an order medication authorization form. Due to cabinet space, we ask that all medication is in a small bottle.
