Hello again to all Lincoln Families and a warm welcome to all new Lincoln families! The Lincoln staff is ready to welcome everyone back! We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. This newsletter is full of all kinds of information! We have included Lincoln PTA information at the bottom of the newsletter as well. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Students whose last names begin with M-Z may visit with one parent/guardian from 9:00 am - 9:30 am. See the map to know what door to enter please. (Use the name of your youngest child's teacher. Names and room numbers will be on the doors.)

Entrance and Exit Procedures

All students riding buses arrive on Ridgewood. Cars cannot park on Ridgewood between 8:10 am and 8:40 am and during dismissal. Students exiting buses are to go to their assigned door. (See below map.) Parent may use staff supervised car loop on Farmgate for drop off and pick up. Parking is available in our lot, on Cunningham, or on parts of Farmgate. If you park and are waiting for your child, establish a meeting spot on Lincoln grounds, such as the Lincoln sign or the bike racks. There is NO staff supervision near Prince of Peace church. We strongly discourage families from using this parking lot and sending students there for pick up. Student lanyards will be checked at arrival.

Lunch and Recess

Students will not wear masks when eating. Mask lanyards will be provided for students to put masks back on after eating if needed. We are still working on final decisions regarding if masks are needed at recess if children can safely social distance from one another. Classrooms will again be assigned to recess zones outside. Students will be spaced apart appropriately when they eat.

Register Your Child If You Have Not Done So Already!

If you have not already started this process for your student(s), please visit our registration page to start this process. If paperwork is not updated, you will not be able to access teacher assignment in Infinite Campus! Call us if you have any questions.

After registering online, parents will need to go in person to your child's school and provide:

  • Health Forms. Required health, immunization, dental, and eye exams for students entering preschool, kindergarten, sixth-grade, and those who are new to the district.

  • Prove Residency. If you have a student that is starting Kindergarten, entering 4th grade, or entering 7th grade, you are required to prove residency in District 15. Our residency webpage outlines the documents you will need to provide to prove residency.

Pay student fees. Our student fee webpage outlines the District’s student fee structure and the three ways fees can be paid.

All of the above steps of the enrollment process must be completed prior to the start of the school year. Students of families that, when required, do not prove residency, will not be able to attend class in a District 15 until the family’s residency is verified.

Free and Reduced Lunch Forms

Free and reduced priced meal forms are available to download/print or apply online from these locations:

Meals Will be Offered Free for 21-22 School Year

  • Meals will be FREE for all students for the 21-22 school year
  • This includes breakfast and lunch at all schools
  • Meals will only be served in school to in-person students
  • At this time, meals will no longer be offered in the community on buses or curbside at any schools during the 21-22 school year.
  • The last day for bus/curbside pickup is Tuesday, August 10th.

Free & Reduced-Price Meals

  • Parents are encouraged to fill out a Free & Reduced Meal Application, even though meals are free for the upcoming school year. The application will be processed for eligibility for school fee waivers plus other benefits.

Optional SHIELD Testing

A new safety measure we intend to add this year is optional SHIELD testing. As we shared on July 21, SHIELD will allow us to identify pre-symptomatic and asymptomatic staff and students who opt into this weekly non-invasive screening opportunity. If you have not already done so, please complete the opt-in/opt-out survey in Infinite Campus.

2021 - 2022 Revised School Calendar

As part of ongoing efforts to keep our schools safe and limit unnecessary visitors, the 2021-2022 school calendar was amended so that students are not in session on March 15, 2022, due to the Gubernatorial Primary Election.

Virtual Students who are missing Health Record Requirements

Hello Lincoln Parents,

This a reminder that if your virtual student is currently in Kindergarten, 6th grade, or new to the school district, they are required to have a current school year immunization record and a physical exam. If you have not submitted these records, please do so as soon as possible. These health requirements are per Illinois State Law. Please be aware your child will not be allowed to attend school for in-person learning for the 2021-2022 until these health requirements are met. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school nurse at the information listed below.

Welcome Back from Lincoln PTA President Ashley Hogan!

Hi Lincoln Lions and welcome back to school! I am Ashley Hogan your PTA President this year and I am so excited for the exciting things that we are going to do for the school with your help! This last year was very uncertain and this year is a little different too but that doesn’t change how much we can give back to our school and children! We are always looking for members to join our PTA. This is a new year and a new outlook on our children’s school and we need to appreciate every moment we have in it. If you are like me, i can not wait to have some of our normal back to school events happen safely! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions you might have at I look forward to meeting all of you!
