Walker Bulldog News
January 15, 2021
Today, you will find your child's progress reports posted on Seesaw. It is hard to believe we are halfway through the second trimester already. Please review that report and contact your child's teacher with any questions or concerns.
Please continue to check-in on your children about how they are REALLY doing (not just what they say to brush you off). More than ever, with COVID continuing and darkness and winter here, please, please, please check in on your children. If you have any concerns at all or if they just seem to be acting differently, please don't hesitate to confidentially reach out to our social worker Mr. Hofer, email@example.com, myself, firstname.lastname@example.org, our associate principal, Mrs. Leone, email@example.com, or any of your child's teachers. Our kids' mental health is beginning to be discussed more and more on a local, state, and national level, and we all need to do continue to do our part in keeping them safe by letting them know that this continues to be tough and that we care about them deeply. See the chart below this update for some ideas about how you can connect (or reconnect) with your children even more.
Our district social work team is dedicated to helping students and families as the pandemic continues. Please complete the social emotional screener by January 18, so that we can allocate needed supports.
As a reminder, there is no school or meal service on Monday as we are off in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Virtual classes resume Tuesday at 7:50, and meal service resumes Tuesday as well.
Be safe, be well.
Ms. Venegonia, Principal
Mrs. Leone, Associate Principal
