Rebecca Clarke | Principal

Dear parent and caregivers,

As our Covid numbers start to drop and more students are back at school it is lovely to see the classrooms come alive with the learning that is taking place. From Sustainable Minecraft Worlds to Travelling around Australia the list is endless, and the students are very engaged in their learning. I’m really looking forward to showcasing the classrooms in Week 10 to our school community.

I was honoured to be invited to the Year 1 Liturgy on Wednesday. The students read and sang beautifully! Thank you to Mrs Mackie and Ms Patton for preparing the students so well and to Father Peter for joining us on the day.

Thank you to those in our community that have already made some fabulous suggestions for our new Factions. I look forward to receiving more suggestions from staff, students and the wider school community. Click on the link below to be part of this.

Myself and Mrs Claire Didlock have spent some time recreating the Parent Handbook. This Handbook is complete with all the information that you require as a parent or carer at St Elizabeth's, however, it is a working document. Therefore if you find there is something missing please let myself or Claire know by emailing the office. Please find a copy of the '2022 Parent Handbook' below.

Just a reminder that while most restrictions have been eased, Covid-19 is still lingering within our school community. Please continue to monitor yourself and your family for symptoms and report any positive results to the Self Reporting Portal.

Next Tuesday, June 7 is our Catholic Day. This day is given to all staff members who work in a Catholic School, as a recognition of all the extra-curricular activities they do throughout the year for our students. The school will be closed on this day as staff enjoy a well-deserved break.

Wishing everyone a lovely extra-long weekend and I look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday. Happy WA Day to you all!

God bless

Rebecca Clarke

Allergy Aware Reminder

At the beginning of the year, we transitioned to an ‘Allergy Aware School’. It has come to our attention that some students are still bringing nuts or nut-based spreads to school. Could you please check your child's snacks to ensure they are 'nut free'.

Online Uniform Orders

A reminder that we have moved to an Online Order Only for the Uniform Shop. All orders will need to be sent to by 9:00am each Thursday and will be packed and sent home on Friday.

Please see the school website to download the form and follow ordering and payment instructions.

National Reconciliation Week

National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. Over the next five weeks all teachers in Kindy-Year 6 have a focus on Reconciliation which, will be show cased in our open afternoon on Wednesday, 29 June.

Containers for Change

This year St. Elizabeth’s will be raising money through the Containers for Change initiative. Last year we raised over $100 that went to charity. This year we have moved away from collecting the recycling containers at school and have created an account directly with Containers for Change. If you have extra containers that you would like to donate, please use the barcode or QR code below when depositing your containers, this will help us to raise even more money for charity!

Thank you

Mr Rebeiro!
