Introduction
England is one the the amazing places on earth. There is so much to do there and just not enough time to do it in. England was home to the 2012 summer olympics were U.S.A won. England is also home to London one of the best places to be on earth. London has big ben and the London Eye, the largest Farris wheel in the world. Also England is ruled by a queen who is 87 years old. The prince and his wife just had a baby who will rule England one day.

Geography of England
England is two thirds of the united kingdom which is huge considering that there is 3 more sections that are like England.Most of England is just a lot of rolling hills, but if you go farther north then you will start to see a lot of mountains. The temperature ranges from about 40* F to 60* F. People get around England mainly by subway and car. It would cost around $700 to $800 to fly to England by plane.
England"s Government
England has a constitutional monarchy which means that it is limited. England has a parliament which makes the laws. The current prime minister of England is David Cameron. England has almost the exact same human rights as we do here in the U.S.A. England's government is also in NATO which is a group of the most powerful countries in the world. England gives lots of aid to Wales, Scotland, and northern Ireland.
England"s Economy
England calls its currency lots of things, but they call it mainly is a pound. England's currency rate to the U.S.A is $1.68. This compared to the U.S.A England is a lot more rich. England"s GDP per capita is $37,881 in U.S.A money. England exports food, beverages, and tobacco.
England"s Social and Ethnic group
Kids in England start school around 4 years old to learn basic things like the alphabet, colors, and shapes. Public schools get paid with tax money, but if a child goes to private school they have to pay the school directly. Woman and children rights are almost the exact same as us in the U.S.A like having the right to marry and stuff like that. Woman and men have the same human rights, but the guy has 1 or 2 more. The literacy rate for both men and women is 99% which is one of the best in the world. England has lots of ethnic groups, because they accept everyone that goes there. The main ethnic group is white. Most people in England are white. The different ethnic groups don't fight because they are at peace with each other.
England Everyday Life
Most of England is christian, but around 25% of people that live in England is atheist. England is a English speaking country, but people there have an accent, and they call things different like what we call chips,they call crisps. The white color on the English flag means purity and honesty, and the red color on the flag means bravery, strength, and hardiness.
England Traditions
A holiday that England celebrates is Christmas. People celebrate it on December 25th to remember the day that Jesus was born. During this holiday people put up trees and hang lights all over their house. At night Santa comes and gives everyone presents for being good that year. During this holiday people where nice outfits and go to church where they hear stories about Jesus. On a normal day in England people like to dress warm, because it is cold in England almost year-round.
Recipe for Bread and Butter Pudding
Ingredients
You will need: (for about 2-3 people)
half an unsliced white loaf
butter for spreading
brown sugar
1/2 pint milk, full fat is nicest
dried fruit or other soft fruit
pinch of ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg
An oven proof dish/casserole
DIRECTIONS
Slice the bread into 3/4 inch thick slices and remove the crusts
You will need: (for about 2-3 people)
half an unsliced white loaf
butter for spreading
brown sugar
1/2 pint milk, full fat is nicest
dried fruit or other soft fruit
pinch of ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg
An oven proof dish/casserole
DIRECTIONS
Slice the bread into 3/4 inch thick slices and remove the crusts
Butter the slices all over, both sides and line the dish
Sprinkle over the dried fruit or other fruits (I like fig and banana, yum)
Sprinkle some brown sugar over that and add a cover of more buttered bread, covering all the fruit.
Pierce the bread a few times and then slowly pour over the milk, letting it all soak into the bread before adding more. When the bread is really sopping with milk sprinkle more sugar over the top and then a little cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg.
Bake in a low oven, approx 140 c, 275 f, gm 1 for a couple of hours until it rises up and the sugar caramelize s on top.
Serve hot with ice cream or cold with custard
