Principal Post

Hello! We are off and running with the start of another school AWESOME school year. I hope you have had a wonderful summer with family and friends! The PTO, school staff and custodians have been very busy getting prepared for the upcoming school year. District calendars and updated bus routes are available in the office. “Meet the Teacher” this past Tuesday afternoon was well attended with students and parents visiting classrooms to say “Hi” and drop off supplies. Kindergarten students will begin school on Monday, August 26th.


Two new procedures are in place this year. First, both sets of doors to DuJardin School are locked and visitors will need to be buzzed in at the first set of doors. There is a doorbell in the center of the double doors along with a speaker. Visitors allowed into the vestibule will check in at the office through the sliding glass window before being allowed into the building. Secondly, please see the article below and read the letter from Superintendent, Dr.Bartelt regarding lunch delivery at school. If you have any questions regarding either of these changes please give me a call, 630-894-9200 or stop by the office.

Student Lunch Deliveries at School Sites

New ID Security System

All School District 13 buildings have a new ID Raptor security system.


As always, when you enter the building, come to the office first to get a visitor's badge. You will need to bring in your driver's license to be rescanned.

The Health Office is accepting donations for boys sweatpants and/or Joggers in size small, medium and large. Donations can be dropped off in the DuJardin office.

Go Orange

Every year the Village of Bloomingdale hosts a "Go Orange Day" to raise awareness about hunger. Wear your Go Orange T-shirt on September 12, 2019 to show your support!


Go Orange T-shirts are available for purchase for $5.00. 15% of your order will be donated to the Bloomingdale Food Pantry.

Jaguars of the week

Each week the teachers recognize students from their classrooms for demonstrating outstanding character based on the attitudes or actions that fall under the Character Counts Pillars: Congratulations to the following students for being nominated this week.

Character Counts Celebration Night

The community is invited to Celebration Night in Old Town Park as we celebrate the American Character Award winners. These awards are presented to school children and youth athletes who exhibit outstanding character.

Hot Lunch Program

The hot lunch program offered through Buona Restaurant starts on Tuesday September 3rd.


* Lunch program is available on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. Lunch must be purchased in advance through the Buona restaurant website by a parent/guardian.

* The website is https://buona.h1.hotlunchonline.net/. Our school code is DUJAR.

* Instructions are on the Dujardin PTO website

* If ordering weekly, lunch orders are due the Wednesday before. Lunch orders for the first week of September (Tues 9/3, Wed 9/4, Thurs 9/5) are DUE BY WEDNESDAY AUGUST 28th.

* NO ORDERS will be accepted after the deadline.

* It is the student's responsibility to get in line at lunch distribution.

* Would you like to volunteer to distribute lunch to Dujardin students? Please visit the PTO website to sign up to volunteer. The lunch program is not possible without help from volunteers.

How: Print out this form, complete the correct information below and return it to DuJardin by the 20th of the month before their birthday month. (For example, a November birthday should return the form by October 20th)


Cost: a suggested $5 minimum donation to the DuJardin PTO


Why: Your child or staff member will be surprised and excited to see her/his birthday announced for one week in lights during their birthday month!
