April 12th! We have a date!!!! It feels like such a relief to know when we will move into our next phase of learning. It's been a long year for all of us.
Although we have tons of details already figured out about what Hybrid learning will look like, as well as "the new Distance Learning" as I'm calling it, there are still many questions to sift through in the coming weeks. You can expect a considerable amount of communication from the District and us along the way. I know the volume of information can sometimes feel overwhelming so just do your best and we'll help you along the way.
Once our Covid Safety Plan has been approved by the County, it will be accessible for your review. It was submitted last Friday, so I hope for approval soon! As you think of questions, you can always reach out to your child's teacher, our office, myself, or fill out this Google Form I just made called "Questions for Mrs. Fadeji and Team Penn".
Wishing you all a great weekend on the horizon,
Amy
Next Week! FINALLY!

Class of 2020 Funds Update!
As you may have heard, last year’s class of 6th graders, the Class of 2020, rocked fundraising last year for their Outdoor Education program. Sadly, due to COVID-19, it was not possible for them to attend camp. After providing an epic drive-in promotion ceremony and delivering care packages of fun, the remaining funds raised is an unbelievable $26,400!! The fundraising chairs came up with 3 potential options on how to use these funds and presented their ideas to the Class of 2020 parents who then voted. The votes are in! $14,400 will be contributed to the new playground, $6,000 to a new mural on campus dedicated to the Class of 2020 and $6,000 will be passed down to the Class of 2021! Thank you to everyone who supported last year's fundraising efforts!
Camp (or camp alternatives) and celebration plans for the Class of 2021 are still tentative but happening! The fundraising team is committed to bringing memories and magic to our current 6th graders. It has been disappointing that the traditional 6th grade fundraising activities have not happened as planned this year such as the Accordion Festival, bake sales, weekly ice cream sales, parent nights out and many more. The Class of 2021 will continue to host various fundraisers through the end of the school year to make up this difference and allow for safe celebrations and camp (or camp activities) during the time of COVID. Thank you for your continued support!
We know it takes a village and each year the 6th graders receive amazing support from the entire school to make their goal to send every student to camp.
CHECK THIS OUT! YOU CAN'T STOP US!
