Welcome back to Art Haycox Elementary school. This Thursday, August 25th will be the first day of the 2022-2023 school year. We look forward to another year of providing exceptional academic experiences in a caring learning environment that support the success and well-being of ALL students.

The Night Before

Please use the sample screener to test students for COVID. If your student tests positive for COVID or shows symptoms, please keep them home. Also, remind your students to charge their Chromebook/iPad, so they are ready to use on the first day of school.

The First Day of School

As you start your morning, don’t forget to pack the Haycox Student Information Packet in your child’s backpack. Teachers will collect them in the classroom. You can also make an appointment at the front office to have a Haycox team member help you fill out the packet.

Haycox is a uniform school! Please send your children to school in the uniforms pictured in the Haycox Uniform Guidelines.

On the first two days of school, the gates will be open at 7:45 a.m. and all parents will be welcomed on campus to accompany students to their classroom, but will not be permitted to enter the classroom. It is recommended that all family members wear a mask when on campus, with the exception of children under 2 years of age.

Remember, for the safety of our community and students, the Kindergarten parking lot is a no parking zone.

Haycox is a uniform school

Students can wear white, dark blue or baby blue collared shirts, or our red Haycox Spirit t-shirt. Pants can be navy blue, khaki or jeans. Students can wear long or shorts pants or skirts. Shoes must be closed and sandals are not permitted.
