Overview
Reading: We are reviewing all the reading skills over the next week including: plays, comprehension, and text features.
Writing: We are finished with our Herculean effort with the National Parks papers. Thank you to all the parents that took so much time to edit with your child last weekend. The kids were all smiles to turn in their very first research paper. "It looks like a college paper, Mrs. Salmon." If you could have seen the smiles of joy and pride as they turned them!
Science: Simple Machine kits are a hit! The students ahve been working with a partner to build many different and unique versions of the simple machine.
Social Studies: Quiz over the Northeast states will be Monday.
Peek into the Week (After Break)
We will beginning reading "The Case of the of the Gasping Garbage". This focuses on inferring and visualizing while reading the text.
In science we will be moving on to the three states of matter: solid, liquids and gasses.
Social Studies will still focus on the Northeast Region of the United States.
