By: Braylee Koehl
The numbers that we are using.
5, 9, 7, 3, 10, 2, 8, 9, 11, 10, 6, 4
Minimum
The number with the lowest value in a set.
In this case it would be 3.
Maximum
The number with the greatest value in a set.
So your maximum will be 11.
Median
The middle number in a sorted set of numbers. Put in order least to greatest . Find the middle.
7 is the median.
Say there were 10 numbers and 5 and 7 were in the middle, you would have to add them together ( 5+7=12) then you would divide them by 2 (12 divided by 2 =6).
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10, 11
Range
The difference between the minimum and maximum values .
Maximum: 11
Minimum: 2
11-2=9
So 9 will be your range.
Mean
The average of the numbers in a set.
Add all numbers
You have to divide the number of numbers the you have already added
5+9+7+3+10+2+8+9+11+10+6+4=84
84 divided by 12= 7
And you get your answer - 7.
Mode
The number that appears MOST often.
10 appears most out of the 12 numbers.
