HOLY ROSARY SCHOOL
NEWSLETTER | TERM 2 | WEEK 4| 19 MAY 2023

Hi Everyone,
I hope all involved had a lovely Mothers Day!
Please keep the many children in Year Six who will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday night in your prayers. This will be a lovely celebration.
Last weekend’s celebrations around the 50th anniversary of our Church was well organised, well attended and really enjoyable. Parishioner Richard Goodwin has written a book, ‘Stone of Eternity’ commemorating the vision of Father Bonaventure Leahy, a priest and gifted amateur architect who created one of Australia’s finest churches. That there were people at the book launch on Saturday night who were involved in the building of this iconic structure made for a moving event. It was lovely. Likewise the mass on Sunday commemorating the blessing and opening of Our Lady of the Rosary church, followed by a lovely morning tea, marked a very special moment in the life of our parish, of which our school is a part. Congratulations to everyone involved.
Bogan Bingo comes ever closer!! Have you booked your table yet?
Have a great weekend
Mark

Being at School, After School
A reminder that families not connected to After School Care need to have left school by 3.15pm. Some families are still onsite on the playground after this time which is contrary to expectations.
Update on Wet Weather Jackets

Thanks to our HR community for an outstanding effort at the Book Fair last week. We sold almost $9,000 of merchandise, received $400 worth of free books and raised lots of money for our gorgeous library. Again a HUGE thanks to our Library Monitors, Ms Capolingua and lovely Mrs Kaiser who came to help at all parent and student shopping times. According to Scholastic, I have one online payment not claimed from 10th May. If you think this is yours, please contact me as soon as possible so I can order the book for you.
Next week is Simultaneous Story Time and Grand Final for Junior Chess, another week of fun in the library!
