Sports News

Congratulations to Masterman's Swimming and Diving Team who became Philadelphia Public League Champs!

The Boys' Basketball team defeated Dobbins High School last week and now moves on to the State playoffs in March. Location to be determined.

We are excited to announce that we will receive the funding for 2 science lab renovations. You may recall that we were crossing our fingers to receive funding for a second lab. We received great luck and BOTH chemistry rooms on the third floor will be fully renovated. Approximate start time for renovation will begin this summer.

We have already ordered two water filtration systems to replace two fountains at Masterman. One filtration system will be located on the fourth floor near the cafeteria. The second system's location will be determined.

The Arts

Thirty seven (37) High School students and 64 Middle School students made All-City band, orchestra, choir and jazz band this year, including several students winning Principal chairs in their ensembles. We also had several students make PMEA District and Regional Ensembles.

Google Expeditions visited our school recently and brought a 3D simulation using Google cardboard devices. We were excited to have the opportunity to participate, free of charge, and wowed a lot of 5th-8th grade classes.

Coffee and catch-up with the principal will take place Friday, March 4th @ 8:45am, faculty lounge (4th floor). All are welcome!

MASTERMAN AUCTION IS APRIL 9TH @ 6:00pm, Girard College. Please go to the Masterman Website to purchase your tickets!
