Spring 2020 Sober Monitor Trainings
Each session is capped at 20 attendees. All chapters must have at least one representative to attend a training before social events are approved. Past trainings count towards the one representative requirement.
Trainings will take place in the Student Health Services Conference Room 111/112.

Rho Lambda Honors Society Application: Due Friday, February 28, 2020
Rho Lambda is a national honor society to recognize sorority women who excel in leadership throughout their organization as well as on campus and throughout the community. For more information visit: rholambda.org

Order of Omega Honors Society Application: Due Friday, February 28, 2020
Order of Omega is a leadership honor society for members of Greek organizations. It recognizes juniors and seniors who have exemplified high standards in the areas of scholarship, leadership, involvement within their respective organization and within the FSL community, campus, and local community. Service to Southern Award
The Service to Southern Award is presented annually to an outstanding graduating senior for his/her participation and service contributions to Southern Illinois University Carbondale. This is the highest honor awarded to a student leader at our University. The award is in the form of a monetary gift of $1,000
To apply, applicants must be a full-time, undergraduate SIU-Carbondale student and provide the necessary information as stated in the attached application. Completed applications are due by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2020. Applications must be turned in, via email, to rachel.dunning@siu.edu. All applications must be typed (except for signature at the bottom), no hand-written applications will be accepted. Save your application document as Service- Last Name, First Name.
This award is supported and funded by the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. The award recipient will be formally presented during the 73rd Annual Theta Xi Variety Show sponsored by SIU Carbondale’s Fraternity and Sorority Community. This year’s program will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2020 in Shryock Auditorium.

Betty Lou Mitchell Endowed Scholarship
Established by Beta Eta Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity and other contributors, the Betty Mitchell Endowed Scholarship is presented annually by the SIU Foundation in memory to acknowledge the ideals of academic excellence, leadership, and commitment demonstrated by Betty Mitchell, a charter member of Beta Eta Chapter, and to ensure the continued Development of these ideals among Greek students at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. The award is in the form of a monetary gift of $1,000
Interested applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicant must be a full-time student currently enrolled at SIU Carbondale
- Demonstrate successful academic performance, to include a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) at time of application
- Demonstrated both leadership and participation in SIU, community, and Greek activities
- Current membership in a National Panhellenic Conference (NPC), a North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC), National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), or National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO)
Completed applications are due by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 2, 2020. Applications must be turned in, via email, to rachel.dunning@siu.edu.
