Marine Seismologist
The Overview
Mapping the interior of the earth under the sea by sound waves being shot down and reflected seismology is very interesting and can be enjoyable to many. In addition to that a Marine Seismologist is someone who also wants to detect earthquakes that happen under water. Lastly, they would also like to study the earths crust and the ins and outs of the bottom of the ocean. Much equipment is involved but if its what you want to do you will be happy. It only takes a bachelors degree to obtain this job title and it would help if you went to the likes of a Stanford or university of Utah. ( 2 of the top seismology programs in the US ) The pay varies based on performance and work put in, do your job correctly and you will get rewarded.
