2016 Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl was a huge success!!
All district winners will compete at the Regional HRRB on February 13, 2016 at Clayton State University from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. The Division A Playoffs will be held on February 27, 2016, the location has not yet been determined. If you are able to attend and support the following teams, please do so.

This unique database provides stellar support for papers, projects, and presentations while reinforcing the development of critical thinking and problem solving skills, communication, collaboration, creativity, and innovation.

MyBackpack conveniently houses all the eResources available to students and staff while at school. A username/password is not required. Outside of school a school specific username/password is required as follows:

Our Mission:
The mission of the Atlanta Public Schools library media program is to make certain that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. This mission is achieved by empowering students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skilled researchers, and ethical users of information.
Our Goals:
- To ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information
- To empower students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information
- To instill a love of learning in all students and ensure equitable access to information
- To collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to design and implement lessons and units of instruction, and assess student learning and instructional effectiveness
- To provide the leadership and expertise necessary to ensure that the school library program is aligned with the mission, goals, and objectives of the school and the school district, and is an integral component of the learning/instructional program
