The First Week of Advent
We are now preparing to enter a very powerful four weeks as a Church–the season of Advent. Advent taps into our deepest experiences, wants, and needs. As we begin this season, we are reminded that Advent is a gift—a time and season all to itself - the opportunity to prepare ourselves through our words, actions, and prayers. During this time of light, waiting, and preparation, may we enter Advent with a God-sized expectancy that is at the core of our hearts.
As we anticipate the birth of the Messiah, we will join Catholics the world over, lighting candles on our Advent wreaths, signaling the coming of the light of Christ. Part of our Advent preparations will include the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Our students (in Grades 3-8) will have the opportunity to receive this Sacrament on Thursday, December 14th. Please note: this week’s School Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 8th at 9:30AM to celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
Accreditation Update
This Monday, December 4th, we welcome our Visiting Committee for their pre-visit portion of our accreditation process. We will introduce them to our faculty and staff at a special meet and greet after dismissal. After our meet and greet the 5 person Visiting Committee will visit classes and meet with teachers. We look forward to partnering with our Visiting Committee as they validate the hard work put in by our faculty and staff.
Winterfest Parade
A heartfelt thank you to everyone responsible for assisting with making our entries in the the Henderson Winterfest Parade such a huge success. The students were thrilled and thoroughly enjoyed participating in the parade. We also want to thank all of our St. Anthony and St. Francis community members for coming out to the parade and supporting us. More pictures and videos soon to come!

Lifeskill of the Week
Our Life Skill for this week will focus on "Sense of humor: laugh and be playful without hurting others." God gave us the gift of laughter and joy. Having a sense of humor is a great way to spread that joy to others. We always need to make sure that our sense of humor is never used to make fun or hurt one another. One of the best ways to experience joy is to spread joy!
Extended Care & After School Activities
