The Bulldog
November 2020
Hello Bulldogs!
It's hard to believe that we have completed one quarter of learning in this new way of being this school year. I appreciate all the patience and collaboration as we move into the second quarter. Please remind your student to continue to engage in their learning, specifically if they are in music and Friday attendance check ins. All students, whether virtual or in person, need to complete the assigned activity in their Advisory Google Classroom every Friday to show us they are present at school.
This month you will also be receiving your child's report on how they did on the ACT Interim assessment. We will be talking more in depth about the results and what they mean during our November 18 Parent/Principal meeting. The meeting starts at 6pm. Hopefully we will see you there!
There is no school November 25-27.
With Gratitude,
Ehren Miller
Attention 8th grade families!
ACP (Academic and Career Planning) Conference Information
Learn about Cudahy High School and 9th grade course registration
Dear Parents/Guardians of the Class of 2025,
You are invited to participate in your student's 8th grade ACP (Academic & Career Planning) conferences! During these conferences, we will discuss your student’s future plans and the transition to high school. Students, parents or guardians and a school counselor will meet to discuss each student's Academic and Career Plan as well as register for 9th grade electives.
Conferences are targeted to begin at the end of November and will run through January so that each family can have an individualized meeting with a school counselor. In person students will participate at school during the school day. Parents and virtual students will participate virtually through a google or zoom meeting. ACP Conferences last approximately 30-40 minutes. Appointments will be scheduled between 7:30am-3:30pm each weekday depending on counselor availability.
Before you schedule your student’s ACP conference, please check out this informational PRESENTATION and VIDEO for an overview of the ACP process. This information is in place of our traditional parent night at CHS. Then, please complete this SIGN-UP FORM to request an appointment time for your student’s 8th grade ACP Conference. You will be contacted through a google calendar invite with the date and time for your student’s ACP conference. If you would like to make a change to the meeting date and time, please contact one of us to reschedule.
We strongly value family support and hope to have 100% parent participation in ACP Conferences. We are looking forward to the opportunity to speak with you about your student’s future!
