Principal's Message - Introducing Care Solace
The health and safety of our school community is a priority for the Pollock Pines Elementary School District. With this in mind, I am excited to share that our district has partnered with Care Solace to assist those in need in finding mental health programs and counseling services.
Care Solace, an online resource with a live 24/7 concierge is available to support our students, their families, and staff at no cost. Representatives will help link participants to appropriate mental health providers, counseling services, and/or substance abuse programs.
Please take the time to read a more detailed explanation of how to access Care Solace in the letter that follows from Superintendent Pat Atkins. This letter provides a unique internet link for our school community to access this resource as well as phone number to connect directly to the concierge team. In addition, the following video demonstrated how to navigate the Care Solace website.
As a district we are committed to being part of your support system. It is important to note that this is an optional resources that families can choose to access. Care Solace is simply one tool we can offer to help our school community stay healthy.
Please reach out if you have questions about this program.
School Pictures are Next Week
This coming Tuesday, February 9th we will be taking school pictures for all students in both the morning and afternoon cohorts. The following day, all distance learning students are invited to come to school anytime between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm to have their pictures taken. Order forms went home this week. In the event that you did not receive this form, you may print it below or pick one up from our office.
No School February 12th and 15th
In observance of Lincoln's Day and Washington's Day, there will be no school Friday, February 12th and Monday, February 15th. We hope enjoy that four day weekend.
2nd Trimester Grading
The second trimester ends on February 26th. In the coming weeks, teachers will be giving several assessments and reviewing student work to determine grades. Barring any illness, please make sure your child attends school regularly and completes their assignments. Distance learners should be consistently attending live meetings and coming to their scheduled meetings with their teacher. We appreciate your support.
