The Kindness Project - Up and Running!

Beginning this week, each class will be organizing is building one box compiled of the following items. Classroom teachers should have already coordinated with students and families to fill the boxes with the items -- though it may be possible that our students and families look to donate more than one item. The more the merrier! Helping Hands (with the help of Karen Azar) will help to make sure that the kits are in order to be donated the week of December 9th.

Thanks for your help in carrying out Caleb White’s message of, “Everything big starts somewhere small!”

We will also have a larger box for donated coats or winter gear that families may wish to donate. Please -- NO ADDITIONAL food items because all items need to fit in the box and weight will be an issue.

Questions? Feel free to ask your child's teacher, Mrs. Hutchison, or Karen Azar (karenlenhardtazar@gmail.com).

All of our parents should have received an email invitation from Dr. Jauch on Monday to participate in the 5Es (5 Essentials) Survey. Our teachers also will be taking part in the survey and students are involved in the process at Marie Murphy (but not at Avoca West). I've taken the survey myself for my own two children and can assure you that it will take you no more than 5 minutes -- though you will need to read carefully :). Thank you for sharing your feedback about Avoca!
