ROE News
Week of September 4th
We are so exciting to take this trip with you!
Megan Corns
Principal
We are so excited that you are on our Bus this year. I am Tamora Vorheis, and my role at ROE is Instructional Coach. I work with the teachers and I am in and out of classrooms daily. I have really enjoyed getting to know our amazing students.
My love is Math and my goal is to make Math fun as our students are learning to problem solve. Math facts are very important for students to become fluent with. By the end of 2nd grade, students should know all the addition and subtraction facts. By the end of 3rd grade students should know all of their multiplication and division facts. We are working daily with our students through a new program called Number Talks. Number Talks shows our students different ways and strategies to solve math problems. We encourage the use of Dreambox as well (which can be accessed at home) to help students on all of the mathematical skills they need for their grade level.
ROE received a grant for a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) Studio. We are working hard to get it set up and ready for our students to visit and start exploring by the end of September. We are very excited about this opportunity and can’t wait to see all the amazing things that our students will be able to create.
Arrival Procedures
- Our staff members are on morning car duty from 7:00-7:45.
- Please note that students are considered late to school after 7:45 am, and may not be dropped off at the back. Students must be walked into the front office by the parent with a note after 7:45.
School starts are 7:40 am.
Please note that the front doors do not open until 7:15. No drop-offs are allowed in the front of the building for safety reasons.
We thank you for helping to foster independence in your child!
