Car Rider Line Reminders
- Please stay in your car - parents may not get out of the car to retrieve their child out of the gym.
- Kinder and 1st Grade students are released to cars using the Civic Drive parking lot.
- Older siblings will wait with younger siblings, and be dismissed using the Civic Drive parking lot. We stagger the dismissal times for K/1 and 2/3 grade levels by 5 minutes, so if you are picking up students in both of those groups, you will need to be towards the end of the car line on Civic Drive. This will keep the line from getting backed up while waiting for 2/3 grades to get to the gym.
- Please have the yellow tag visible at all times in your windshield. If you do not have a yellow tag, or it's a person the staff member does not recognize, we will have to verify with the front office staff that the person is approved to pick up your child.
Picking Your Child Up Early?
First Home Football Game Friday
1. All students LVES students must be accompanied by an adult guardian in order to attend Lago Vista High School varsity football home games. The students must remain under the supervision of that guardian while at the stadium.
2. Standing, loitering, or horseplay under and around the stadium stands, concession stands, or any other area is prohibited. Revealing, provocative and/or inappropriate dress will not be allowed, nor will inappropriate behaviors or foul language. Repeat offenders will be required to leave the stadium and campus.
3. Once inside the stadium, middle school and high school students with a student ticket will be allowed to sit in the designated student area on the home side of the stadium. Students may sit in the reserved or general admission sections only if they are under the supervision of an adult guardian.
4. The use of alcohol, controlled substances, tobacco, and electronic cigarettes are prohibited on school premises.
Lago Vista ISD appreciates everyone’s cooperation and support as we work to keep a safe and enjoyable environment at Viking football games.
Beginning August 29th
Tardy bell rings at 7:45 am! Students not in their classroom at 7:45 will be counted tardy for the day.
Birthday Treat Update
If parents are wanting to send in edible birthday treats, they must check with the teacher prior to sending in the treats, so children with food allergies have ample time to have a safe alternative. We do not have birthday parties at school, therefore any treat brought to school will be distributed at the teacher's discretion at a time that least impacts instruction. Treats may not be brought to the cafeteria or playground. Please visit page 106 of the Student Handbook for more information:

Counselor's Corner - Mrs. Sexton
Hello! I am Amy Sexton, and I am so excited to be the new School Counselor at Lago Vista Elementary! This month in our guidance lessons we will be focusing on the character trait of Trustworthiness. Being trustworthy means deserving of trust or confidence, being dependable, or reliable. The students and I will discuss and show examples of how we can all be trustworthy people at school and at home. I will also tell the students a little more about me and my role as their counselor! Feel free to contact me with any concerns or questions you may have, and let me know how I can help your child be a successful and happy student at LVES!
Thank you!
