ACT Aligned Benchmarks and Progress Checks

ACT Aligned Benchmarks and Progress Checks In order to support all of our students in meeting college and career readiness benchmarks measured by the ACT our students are taking regular assessments to measure their progress. Progress checks are administered every two weeks and we will be recognizing students who score at least 5/6 on these assessments. Our next full-length benchmark is scheduled for January 24th. Students can access their scores on these assessments using these instructions.

Join us for a special Junior Class ACT Online Presentation tomorrow, January 18th at 5:30 to discuss the value of taking the ACT, ACT prep and other important information regarding this State required test. You can join the online meeting by clicking here.

Attendance/Tardy Policy Revision and Restroom Supervision/Coverage

Attendance is a key indicator for academic success. In an attempt to help our students be present and on time we have made some modifications to our attendance policy. This will go in effect for second semester. Please review the attached revision with your student and help us encourage good school attendance.

Revised Attendance Policy

We have also made some adjustments to our restroom coverage to help improve access and safety. Our restroom supervision plan can be found at: Restroom Coverage Plan.

Tutoring

Join us on Mondays and Thursdays in the CGUHS Library for English and Math tutoring. Students may be picked up one hour after they begin tutoring by a parent/guardian or there is a 4:30 and a 6:15 p.m. activity bus for all afterschool activities. Our goal is to help all students who would like to improve their skills and grades. We hope to see more students take advantage of this great opportunity.

Additional tutoring is also available through BRAINFUSE. Students can access this by going to http://cglibrary.org, clicking on the "research" tab and selecting "student resources." Under "student resources" select "Brainfuse" from the list and login with your student ID# and Library Pin. You can get help in many subject areas from 2pm-11pm through this online resource.
