TCMS Update
December 20, 2015
News and Reminders
10th Period Survey: I have received as lot of thoughtful feedback and will work on a second draft for Team Leaders to review. I hope to have the finished product administered in mid-January.
Student Behavior: Thanks for all you do to help manage student behavior and promoting a positive school environment. Mike, Betsy and I would like to reinforce our collective expectations at a mid-year meeting with students; possibly by team instead of at a grade level assembly. This could be tailored for each grade and to some extent by team. The three of us will be collecting ideas on key talking points from all of you after the holidays.
Holiday Building Hours: You may access the building between 7 AM and 9 PM on December 23, 28, 29 and 30. YOU WILL NEED YOUR SWIPE CARD TO ENTER. Please test your card if you haven’t used it in a while and let me know if you ever plan on being here later than 5 PM, so I can alert the custodians. The building will be closed the rest of the time, but call me if something comes up.
January 4 Faculty Meeting: I know it will be our first day back, but we will be meeting. I have invited our custodians and cleaners to the meeting to be introduced and thanked for all of their hard work. I am going to have a sheet cake made as a small token of our appreciation. I am also still looking for a student to showcase.
Faculty Meeting Norms: We discussed these at Team Leaders and then I never implemented or reviewed them with all of you at our December meeting this week. Food from 2:45 to 2:55; meeting from 2:55 to 3:55 with the BTA meeting to immediately follow; sign-in, no phones/computers, note taker and an agenda at each table with a time stamp.
