Participants at this PD will have time to explore and plan! There are so many websites and resources available to support social studies vocabulary. Come and explore some resources together and receive a flash drive to save and share resources with colleagues.

The best way to access your grade level materials and resources is to go to the CCS Social Studies Instructional Resource Portal:
Once there, click on your grade level. Be sure to check out the "I Can Checklist" for your grade level. These are perfect for posting or creating student notebooks.
Using the web address above, click on one of the intermediate grade levels. Here you will find a link to the vocabulary lists for that grade, as well as, vocabulary cards ready to print for your word walls. Click on the link
Be sure to check out some of the videos that support the nonfiction reading and lessons for each quarter.

Wordnik: This site gives definitions and uses for words, synonyms, rhyming words and other word associations.
