K12 National ALP Learning Circle - November 16
Have you ever thought that Science could come to life working with a paper plate? Would you like to make something fun that you can share with others and show them that same magic? Please join me for Paper Plate Marble Maze. This is for grades 3rd through 8th.

We will meet on Thursday, November 16th at 1 pm ET to learn the Science and start the magic. You can share your mazes at a follow up session on Thursday, November 30th at 1 pm ET. You will need the following materials to create your own Paper Plate Marble Maze.
Items needed for this project: *
- Paper Plates (The ones with high edges work best)
- Scissors
- Construction paper
- Tape
- Markers
- Marbles
- Optional: Wikki Stix, pipe cleaners, and/or straws
*All supplies are the responsibility of the family/student and are not provided by K12. The project for this build is optional and students are welcome to join even if not planning on building the project.

Mikayla is a 7th grader at GCA who loves to read, write, and be creative. She is publishing her own book, "Zoey's Zany Life," which will be out in December. She can speak American Sign Language and enjoys piano and CrossFit. She has attended GCA for the past 5 years.

April Mask - 7th Grade
My name is April Mask, and I am a 7th grade ALP math and science teacher with Georgia Cyber Academy. I taught in a traditional school setting for 11 years in Newton County, GA, and this is my 4th year teaching for GCA. My husband, Britt, and I have three children. My daughter, Sydney, is a sophomore in college, my son, Gavin, is in the 8th grade, and my youngest daughter, Naomi, is in the second grade. We live in Covington, Georgia, which is the Hollywood of the South!
