DCIU Provides services for children with special needs before they enter kindergarten.
-Provides free screening for children whose families an teachers have concern. Preschool children can receive many types of services if they have an identified developmental delay or disability in at least one of the following areas: Adaptive, Cognitive, Communication, Physical, Sensory and Social-emotional developments.

You will receive a packet to complete so that Early Intervention professionals can gather additional information about your family and child.
- Professionals will review the results of your screening packet and recommend whether to schedule further assessments for your child.
- Professionals review the results of any further assessments. They and you are part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) which will identify your child's strengths and needs.

Cades consist of smaller programs: Infant & Toddler, Preschool and the Mom's Morning Out Program. In safe and stimulating surroundings, our professional staff members follow a preschool-based curriculum focusing on age-appropriate activities and developmental practices. Each classroom encompasses a balance of cognitive, social, language, and physical activities to target the needs of each individual child.
Mom’s Morning Out classes cater to three different age groups from 2 to 6. Morning class sessions are held every weekday, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. We also offer an afternoon program called Lunch Bunch. This program runs from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. Children who regularly attend two or more weekly sessions will be monitored twice a year to record their progress necessary for starting kindergarten.

Elwyn is one of the nation’s oldest private non-profit organizations serving people with intellectual, developmental and behavioral challenges. Elwyn services in behavioral health, early childhood services, special education, research and health services, work and adult day programs, and supports for living.
The Early Childhood Service Area is consisted of two programs, the Development Center and Special Education for Early Developmental Success (SEEDS). The Development Center, located on Elwyn’s Media Campus, houses NAEYC and Keystone Stars 4A accredited preschool and child care programs. SEEDS serves about 5,000 preschool age children in the Chester/Upland and Philadelphia School districts.

KenCrest offers Early Intervention From Birth-3yrs, Early Intervention 3-5yrs and Pre-Kindergarten services 3-5yrs. We help children who have developmental, neurological, orthopedic, behavioral, and learning difficulties. Our specialties include special instruction, social work, speech/language therapy, behavior supports, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and nutrition.
Assesments of your children are available for FREE. We set up an individualized plan with your help, make regular visits to your home, and help you get your child into services and activities.

Sunny Days is an early intervention provider serving children with developmental needs from birth to 3yrs. Our services are provided in natural environments, home, child care environments or other community locations. We provide a full range of services: physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychological services and Special Instruction services. We tailor these services to specifically target each child's needs with an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). Our practitioners design intervention strategies that are built around a family's daily routines and activities. Depending upon location, Sunny Days can provide all necessary services, including initial evaluations and all IFSP authorized services.
We also provide Virtual Early Developmental Services which provides services through full video and audio.
A qualified therapist or other professional must perform a thorough evaluation before your child can be assisted in overcoming any developmental delay that may possibly exist.
