The Cottonpicker Update
Summer 2015
Congratulations Class of 2015, Graduates!
Letter from the Superintendent
Dear Graduates:
On behalf of the Robstown Board of Trustees and Administration, I would like to congratulate the 2015 Robstown High School graduates. You have worked hard and have met all the graduation requirements as prescribed by the State of Texas.
This evening you will be faced with mixed emotions. Pride and a sense of accomplishment for all that you have achieved, apprehension as you stand on the brink of a new chapter of your lives, and excitement at the prospect of turning a new page.
You are starting a new adventure and taking your first steps to achieve amazing things.
New beginnings, new journeys and definitely new challenges to explore. Although you will be dealing with a myriad of conflicting emotions, you need to take a deep breath, believe, know, endure, and then ultimately achieve.
Believe in yourself to the depths of your being. You have the ability, skills, education, and the opportunities. You have the know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, to create a successful life. We look forward to hearing about your future achievements. I know that you will all stay focused on your goals. Graduates, this moment is the peak of your years of schooling; your pay off for the hard work you’ve done and overcoming all of the obstacles along your journey. You have the opportunity now to write your own story in life and to live out your dreams and goals. Be determined and never give up.
Congratulations to the parents who have guided this year’s graduates from infancy to early adulthood and to Robstown ISD’s excellent teachers. You have both prepared our students throughout thirteen years of public education. Congratulations to the campus principals for providing instructional leadership that achieved the ultimate goal of student achievement. Special congratulations goes to the Robstown High School Class of 2015 for working hard and seizing the opportunities provided by Robstown ISD’s public education.
Your community is very proud of you and believes that you, without a doubt, will be successful in your new chapter of life. We want you to excel personally and contribute to the greater good of our world. We whole-heartedly commend each of you and extend our best wishes for a bright future.
As John Quincy Adams stated, “May your actions inspire others to dream more; learn more; do more and become more!”
Once again, congratulations Robstown High School, Class of 2015!
Sincerely,
Dr. Maria M. Vidaurri
