Homework
Vocabulary Homework will consist of flash card practice with definitions. We find that if a student is able to know what a word means, reading comprehension is easier. Students will be responsible for taking a Vocabulary Test at the end of the week. The first few weeks, the test will be a paper copy. Once the students receive their chromebooks, the test will be taken on the computer.
Reading Homework will consist of sustained reading for 30 minutes. Students will document their reading homework on their reading log: Date, School/Home, Title of book, Amount of Time, and the amount of pages read. Reading Logs will be the responsibility of the student.
