Hunger in Africa
By: CamRon Green
Poverty is the principle cause of hunger in Africa and elsewhere. People don't have a sufficient income to purchase enough food. Conflict and drought are certainly important causes of hunger, but the most typical situation is that people don't have enough income.
How is the save the children helping now?
They have screen 51,000 children across south Sudan and found nearly 1 in 4 are suffering from malnutrition. In response they up stabilization centers to treat malnutrition children with specific therapeutic foods.
What can your help do?
Hunger is constant, chronic pain gnawing away at hungry children. Hungry kids in Africa can and should be in the past. We must put a stop to starvation in Africa.
All money raised is sent to south Sudan.
