Community Language Partners
Little Cedars is a growing and diverse community. As we have more diverse families moving into the area we would like to form a list of people that speak different languages to welcome and make those families feel connected and included in the Little Cedars community. There are multiple ways you can connect with a new family, it could be a quick phone call, meeting for coffee or connecting at school. The meeting/phone does not have to be long. Just long enough to make the other parents feel welcome and supported in their own language.
If you are interested in connecting with new families that speak the same language. Please fill out the below form and send it to Mrs. Nielsen or email her the answers to: anne.nielsen@sno.wednet.edu
We will keep a database of parents that are interested and the languages you speak. We are excited to welcome our new families and have your help/ support!

Partner with us for Healthy Schools
In the last several weeks we have had several students coming to school with symptoms of respiratory and other illness. Because these illnesses spread quickly through the classroom, we are asking you to observe the following guidelines when deciding whether to send your child to school.
Please keep your child home if they have:
- A fever (>100.4 F) or chills. Your child should stay home for 24 hours after the fever is gone, without taking fever-reducing medication (ie.Tylenol/Advil);
- A cough, muscle or body aches, difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell;
- Significant congestion or runny nose, sore throat, reddened eyes, green or yellow drainage from the nose;
- Fatigue or headache;
- Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea (24 hours free - before returning to school).
If your child has any of the above symptoms, please reach out to your health care provider. It is encouraged that those with symptoms be tested for COVID-19. If testing positive, please reach out to your school nurse/health room for further guidance.
One of the most effective ways to control the spread of illness in school is to keep your child home when symptoms first appear. Frequent hand washing, covering mouth/nose when coughing or sneezing, wearing masks, socially distancing, and receiving preventable vaccines, help prevent the spread of germs, viruses and illness.

School Module - Immunization Records
Snohomish School District is changing how we manage student immunization records. We are now using the School Module, an online system provided by the Washington State Department of Health. The School Module allows us to quickly and efficiently check if your child has the vaccines required for school. This will save us time on finding and entering vaccination dates and free up time to work with students. Most children born and/or vaccinated in Washington already have their information in the system. You can access your child’s record at any time by signing up for MyIR at https://wa.myir.net/register. As we move to this system, the school nurse may ask you for more information about your child’s vaccination history. If your child is missing vaccines in the system, we may ask for a copy of their immunization record. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your school nurse.
