The Melbourne University Electrical Engineering club has invited several members of the EE academic staff to talk about their research interests, their career in academia and the steps they took in order to get where they are today. If you would like to learn the basics about the research topics Melbourne University pursues, or have ever wondered about what it takes to succeed in furthering human knowledge, then come along with questions at the ready!

Prof. Rob Evans

Prof. Rob Evans is the head of department of Electrical Engineering at Melbourne. His research interests span the theory and applications of industrial control, radar systems, signal processing and telecommunications.

Prof. Rod Tucker

Tuesday, April 16th, 12-1pm

Brown lecture theatre, Level 1, EEE Building

Prof. Rod Tucker has worked for Plessey Research, AT&T Bell Laboratories, Hewlett Packard Laboratories and Agilent Technologies. His research interests include optical fibre telecommunications, internet technologies, broadband internet access networks and photonic devices.
