Porcupine Needles
Arrows
Needles to the rescue
How awesome would it be to have new type of arrow. The porcupine may be able to help us create a new needles. The needles of porcupines are sharp and pointy, providing great protection for the animal. We will be able to take their adaption and use it to our own good.
The arrows can help humans in three ways. The first being hunting for food that we can provide for families and other people. The second would be protection from enemies or predators of any sort. The third would be you could use the arrows to carve. They could help carve designs in wood or another surface.
The final model will work by having a clump of porcupine needles that are about ½ an inch thick. The needles will be shaped to have a point at the front. The point will help the arrow to get better flight and to carry speed toward its object. The point would also help when carving to give a more precise design.
Here are the different stages of the models...
Model 1
One solid porcupine needle as an arrow. Was not strong enough.
