Helping Students Cope with Anxious Behaviors and Anxiety
For the month of November, we are continuing with our mindfulness initiative and focusing on anxious behaviors and anxiety. Attached weekly will be informative articles for parents to use and or help understand anxious behaviors and anxiety. Please use the resources as you see fit.
New Security Procedures
- Any person entering the building must have a valid drivers license.
- You must present your license to be scanned.
- Your picture WILL be taken anytime you are going to be passing through the vestibule into the main building.
- A printed tag with your name and picture will then be placed on an orange lanyard, and it must be worn at all times.
- At the completion of your visit, please return your lanyard the main office.
- If you are dropping off an item or picking up your child your license WILL be scanned, but a photo WILL NOT be taken.
- If you are dropping your child off to school late. You only have to sign the late book located in the vestibule.
- Please note that information from your license is not stored on our computer. Therefore you must follow this process everytime you enter the building.
If you have any questions about the new security procedures, please contact the school.
Thank you for your cooperation with our new procedures.
A Note from the Nurse
As cold and flu season approaches, please remember the following:
- Your child must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school.
- If your child is vomiting or has diarrhea, please keep them home.
- If your child has missed school and was seen by a doctor, please bring in a doctors note for the absence to be excused.
- Pre - K parents, please follow up with paperwork regarding your child's flu vaccinations.
- The school nurse is conducting screenings for Kindergarten students. If you have any referrals for additional hearing or vision examinations, please follow up.
