A Message from Mrs. Booth
Thank you for hanging in there with us! Thank you for sharing your beautiful children with us. Thank you for showing your children that they CAN do hard things!
It is truly a blessing to be a part of the Silver Springs Community. It is a special place where everyone values and supports each other and lifts each other up through it all! I hope that this summer brings some time to relax, some time to play, and some time to do all the things that you enjoy together as a family.
We have some major construction projects happening this summer, so the school building will look a little different on the inside when we return in the fall . The slideshow below was shared at one of our PTA meetings and gives you a brief overview of the work that will take place this summer! We are excited to show you what that looks like when we return. I am looking forward to another amazing school year!
Have fun!
Katie Booth

We can't thank the PTA enough for everything that they have done this year to make our school year special! Without the generous donations of our families, these special treats would not be possible! THANK YOU FAMILIES!!!

Covid - 19 Updates
CLOSE CONTACT QUARANTINE UPDATE
As you may be aware, there has been a significant increase in the number of COVID cases in our community, and across Michigan over the course of the past several weeks. Citing the increasing case rates and variant spread in Michigan, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) has reinstated a standard 14-day quarantine for close contacts of COVID-19 cases effective immediately.
Parents should continue to monitor their child for symptoms and not send them to school where symptoms are present. Additionally, if your child has had COVID-19 in the past 5 months (evidenced by a positive PCR), quarantine is not required. We began following these new requirements immediately and notified all families where an identified close contact quarantine could be shortened under these new rules.
**REMINDER** INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
The Wayne County Health Department, as indicated on the COVID-19 Daily STUDENT Symptom Screening Tool (2.16.2021), requires that students stay home to quarantine for 7 days from the date they return to the U.S. No earlier than the 7th day of return, a student must have a COVID-10 PCR test and have a negative result before returning to school.
SCREENING FORM UPDATED
Please remember to use the Wayne County Health Department COVID-19 Daily STUDENT Symptom Screening Tool (2.16.2021) each morning to determine if your child can come to school. If your child is a close contact to a positive case, please plan on a 10 day quarantine as the 14 day quarantine will only be required in circumstances where symptoms are present or as required by the health dept or your child's medical care provider.
