Ford First Day Student and Parent Presentation
New Lunch Schedule for ALL Students Begins September 2
Students that have the following courses below for their 4th period class will go to "A Lunch". A Lunch is right after 3rd period. A Lunch is 10:53-11:23.
- 7th Grade Science
- 8th Grade Science
- Art
- CTE (Computer Graphics, Social Media, BIM)
- Yearbook
- PALs
- Theatre
Students that have the following courses below for their 4th period class will go to "B Lunch". Students will first go to their 4th period class. Halfway through their 4th period class, students will go to lunch. B Lunch is 11:25-11:55. After lunch, students will return to their 4th period class.
- 7th ELA
- 8th ELA
- 7th History
- 8th History
- Functional Academics
Students that have the following courses below for their 4th period class will go to "C Lunch". C Lunch is right after 4th period. C Lunch is 11:57-12:27.
- Band
- Choir
- Orchestra
- P.E.
- Cheer
- 7th Grade Math
- 8th Grade Math

Know What Bus You Ride!
COVID Bus Procedures
- All students are required to wear a mask when riding the bus. If a student does not have a mask, a mask will be provided.
- Students will be required to use hand sanitizer when getting on the bus. There will be a hand sanitizer dispenser at the entrance of the bus.
- Students will be required to remain in the same seat for the duration of the bus trip.

Items to Bring on the First Day
Below are a list of items that you might consider bringing on the first day of In-Person learning:
Backpack
School Supplies: Pens, Paper, Pencils. Please see the student supply list included in this newsletter.
Lunch: You may also purchase a lunch from the cafeteria.
Reusable Water Bottle
Small Bottle of Hand Sanitizer
Jacket: Some students get a little cold sitting in the classrooms and cafeteria.
Chapstick
Feminie Hygiene Products
No Cell Phones and/or Earbuds
Cell Phones are NOT permitted during the instructional day. There are some exceptions:
- Students may use their cell phone before school and after school.
- Teachers may allow students to use their cell phone during class for instructional purposes.
If you need to contact your student, please call the school office. Earbuds (Headphones) are NOT permitted at any time! NO Exceptions.
Student ID Badges Are Required to be Worn At All Times
Student ID Badges must be visible at all times! Students are REQUIRED to wear their student ID along with their Privilege Card around their neck (using a lanyard). Students must have their ID with them at all athletic events and extra-curricular activities! Students may receive consequences if they do not wear their ID. If an ID is lost, students may purchase a new one for $2.00. Lanyards may be purchased for $1.00
Dress Code
- Boxers, Sleepwear (pajamas) tube tops, cutoffs, spaghetti straps, house shoes, hats, hoods (worn on the head) are not allowed!
- Tight/form fitting pants, yoga pants, and leggings may not be worn unless under a skirt/dress or shirt that is mid-thigh in length or longer.
- Undergarments and midriffs should not be visible.
- Hairstyles should be clean and groomed.
- Hair picks/combs/bandanas can NOT be worn in the hair.
- Hair designs or colors that are disruptive or a distraction to the school environment are prohibited.
- All shorts, including athletic shorts, need to be appropriate length (mid-thigh or fingertip length).
- No holes in jeans or pants if above mid-thigh.
- Sleeveless tops must have a minimum width of 3” at the shoulder.
- Articles of clothing with offensive pictures, emblems, symbols, advertising for tobacco or alcohol, etc. or those that cause disruption to the educational process are prohibited.
- Small nose studs that are non-distracting are permitted, however, all other facial piercings are prohibited.
