STEM RECYCLE FASHION SHOW
STEM is hosting its Inaugural Recycle Fashion Show! This year's theme is INTERGALACTIC, and this event is going to be out of this world. You will not want to miss this event.
Do you have an up-and-coming designer or a child that is always putting together amazing creations? Then this is the beginning of the year event for them. All fashion designs must include at least 50% recyclable materials; each designer will submit a portfolio and show off their actual creation in real fashion show at STEM under the blacktop cover. Start collecting those recyclable materials and let them show off their creative minds by starting on blueprint ideas. Once the registration form is filled out, the parent will receive an email from Mrs. Sikes with more details.
REGISTER for the STEM Fashion Show to be showcased on the INTERGALCTIC runway.
You must register your child through the registration Google form linked here and in the flyer.
Registration will close on August 19th.
Categories will be as follows:
Elementary: Kinder through 2nd grade
Elementary: 3rd grade -5th grade
Middle School 6-8
High School 9-12
Important Dates for this Event:
Registration must be completed by August 19th
Portfolio must be submitted by September 16th
Fashion Show will be held on September 23rd

STAAR results can show families and teachers the progress made in learning over the year. Next year, teachers can use results along with report cards and family input to create plans that support their child’s academic progress. Scores are for assessing learning levels and are meant to show where your child is meeting grade-level expectations in each subject and where they may need additional support. Scores are grouped into four categories: does not meet, approaches grade level, meets grade level, and masters grade level.
Instructions for accessing your child's information are outlined below:
- Use this link to get started: https://txparentportal.emetric.net/login
- Click the white link labeled "Lookup Unique Access Code".
- You will enter your child's first name, social security number, and birthdate to look up their access code.
- You will now return to the main link and enter the access code and birthdate.
If you know a student or staff member that deserves the spotlight, let us know!
Elementary Updates
Dear Parents,
It is hard to believe that we are halfway through the summer. Before you know it, school will be back in session for the 22-23 school year. To give your child the best start to the school year, have your child read daily and do everyday math involved in baking, cooking, shopping, and crafting around the house. Our students in Grades 3-5 still have access to their ALEKS pie which is a math program that helps build skills specific to your student. All your child needs is a computer to access this program.
As you are aware, the new school year brings about changes as we become an inhouse charter within ECISD. However, we will still be true to our roots and focus on Project Based Learning, STEM, and a college career ready campus. We look forward to a bright 22-23 school year. Enjoy your summer!
Best Regards,
Monica Elizondo, M.Ed.

Secondary Updates
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I hope this newsletter finds you all doing well and enjoying your summer break. Summer is full of planning and training for school staff and this summer is no different. Please begin making plans to join us for some important back to school events.
- 6th Grade and new students entering 7th and 8th grade Orientation, July 29 at 10 am
- Middle School water balloon party, July 29 at 11 am
- High School 9th grade and new student Orientation, August 2 at 10 am
- High School Coke Floats, August 2 at 8pm
In July our office usually begins getting numerous calls regarding schedules. I would like to give you all a bit of information to help put you at ease. Last February each student completed academic planning for the coming year the information that was turned in was added to our database. That database helps us with structuring our classes for the coming year. We hope to have a relatively good idea of schedules around the last week of July. Those schedules will be viewable by you in the Ascender portal. The current plan for first day of school will have students check the lists posted on the Large MP (for Middle school students) or Founders Foyer (for High School students) for their 1st period. When students report to 1st period they will be given a printed copy of their schedule.
Enjoy the rest of your summer! We cant wait to see you all in August.
