Hello Coyote Family!
FREE MEALS FOR ALL ANNA ISD STUDENTS
Through a waiver from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Anna ISD will provide free breakfast and lunch to ALL STUDENTS throughout the 2021-2022 school year. The district is thankful that the federal government has allowed us to offer these benefits for this year at no cost to the district or our students’ families.
Please encourage your child(ren) to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity for a healthy school breakfast and lunch per student per day!
Please note:
Extra items (snacks, seconds, a la carte items, etc.) outside the standard meal will be available for purchase. Parents may pay for these extras through MySchoolBucks or bring a check or cash to the cafeteria for their student’s lunch account.
Although no applications are needed to receive free meals this year, we ask that all families who have previously or may now qualify to fill out a Free/Reduced Meal Program Application. Filling out the application will ensure that your child’s additional benefits will not be interrupted for the grace period at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year. In addition, the free and reduced status will help your student qualify for other benefits and programs. To fill out an application online or see if you are eligible, please go to myschoolapps.com.
COVID EXCLUSION PROTOCOLS FOR AISD STUDENTS
Anna ISD will not conduct close contact investigations and students/staff will not be required to quarantine for potential exposure to COVID-19. However, parents/staff will be notified if the district has been made aware that their student has had potential exposure to COVID-19.

NEW ANNA HIGH SCHOOL TRAFFIC & PARKING PROCEDURES
With the growth of Anna, the school district, and to address safety concerns of students moving between moving cars and buses, it has become necessary to make some changes to the parking and traffic flow at Anna High School. Therefore, new traffic signs were installed over the summer, and the following changes are effective immediately:
The front drive of Anna High School is a one-way lane entering from Rosamond Pkwy. You will no longer be allowed to enter from West Crossing. Instead, drivers will pull along the right-hand curb to drop off or pick up students. The left lane will be for passing cars. Drivers, do not leave your vehicle. If you need to go inside, you must park in a parking space in the parking lot. To avoid heavy traffic, you may also drop off or pick up your students in the parking area on the west side of AHS and the student parking area marked on the attached map. Enter and exit the west side and the student parking lots via Rosamond Pkwy.
The south parking lot, located between the gymnasium and sports complex, will only be for buses and faculty parking between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm. Parking for an athletic event in progress will be an exemption from this.
Anna ISD Police will be monitoring and enforcing this to help establish the new flow. Thank you for your patience and for working with us to keep our community safe!
