Principal's Message
We are officially in fall! As the cooler weather approaches, please remember to dress your students appropriately. This Wyoming weather can change on a dime. I also encourage you to write your child's name on the inside of all of their outwear.
Homecoming Parade!
The homecoming parade is today. Students who wish to participate should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We will meet at Wells Fargo at 1:45. Go Broncs & Fillies!
We cannot thank you enough for all of your support to our Livingston PTK Read-A-Thon Fundraiser! We have such supportive families and community members, together we raised $30,733! Thank you so much to all of our those who donated to support our school!!
Lunch Accounts
Please help monitor your child's lunch account and negative balances here: https://family.titank12.com/
The office will be in touch when/if your child has a negative balance.
Transportation
If your child is in grades K-2 and they ride the bus home, please check their backpack and ensure their bus tag is still attached. This helps the transportation department make sure students are getting on the correct bus at transfer.
If your child has a change in afternoon transportation plans, please contact the office by 1:30pm. You are welcome to contact the teacher too, but there are times that they do not get to check their messages until after dismissal.
Art Class
We are excited to announce that Art has begun with the collaboration of Mrs. Jo-el Sauers and her college art students.
"We have amazing activities planned for your students which include everything from Sculpting with recycled wood to Water Colors. Our theme this year will be "The Wild Wild West & Friends." We will be continuing to provide an integrated approach to Art by covering various standards in multiple content areas."
Parent Volunteers
We now have 248 total parents signed up to volunteer!!! This is so great! Thank you for your constant dedication to our school and your student's education.

Arrival and Dismissal
Students need to be outside or at breakfast in the morning.
Breakfast starts at 7:45am
Time before school is used by teachers to plan and prepare lessons and materials. Because teachers are unavailable to supervise them, we cannot allow students to be in the hallways before 8:10am, unless you have arranged tutoring.
Instructional Bell- 8:10am
If you arrive after the bell you will be marked tardy.
Tardy: The elementary schools of Park 6 take attendance twice daily. Attendance is taken first thing in the morning and afternoon. In the morning , students who are late but arrive before 8:30 are counted tardy. If they arrive after 8:30, they would be considered absent for the morning. In the afternoon, students absent longer than 20 minutes after 11:30 will be considered absent for the afternoon.
Note: Habitual tardiness is dealt with at the building level. Five (5) tardies to school equal one unexcused absence.
Dismissal Bell-3:15pm
Friday Dismissal-Early out every Friday-1:35pm
Please call the office before 2:30pm if you have a change in after school plans. This helps with getting notes to the children in a timely manner. If we don't hear from you, we will assume to continue on with regular after school plans.

Veterans Day Program Fundraiser
Please support this non-profit organization headquartered in Wyoming. Our fundraiser will begin October 10th through the 14th, running the full week to support this important program.
Each year the students of Park 6 School District hold a fundraiser to support our veterans. Thank you so much for your amazing support last year. The name of Marine Corps Lance Corporal Rylee McCollum, who was KIA in Afghanistan, is now inscribed on the Freedom memorial located in our veteran’s memorial park. Old worn flags flown downtown have been properly retired and replaced with new American flags bought by our students. The passion our students have for our fundraiser is making a difference in the lives of our veterans and helping to build community and patriotism in all our hearts
Please see https://www.militarymobility.com/ for more information.
NURSE NEWS
Vision Screenings for all students are done every year. The school nurse will contact you if your child does not pass the screening. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Susan Lambert, RN, Livingston School Nurse.
Protect yourself and your family from the flu by getting an annual flu shot. According to the Wyoming Department of Health, the single best way to prevent the flu is to get a vaccine each fall. Contact your health care provider about obtaining a vaccine. There are several organizations in town offering flu shots this year as well. Other ways to prevent the transmission of illness are: cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, wash your hands frequently with soap and water (especially after you cough or sneeze), try to avoid close contact with people that are sick, eat right, exercise and get plenty of sleep.
