Early Life
Roald Dahl was born in September 23, 1916, in Llandaff, Wales. While Roald Dahl was still just 4 years old, both his father and sister died. Ronald Dahl then went on to go to Llandaff Cathedral School in 1923 and went to school at St.Peters in 1925.

Later Life
Roald Dahl worked at Shell Oil when he was 18, and joined the royal air force following the start of World War 2. He was then sent to Libya, where he was involved a plane crash that prevented him from ever flying again, thereby ending his career. After being encouraged by a friend to start writing, he released his first work, Some Time Never. When Roald was 37 he got married to Patricia Neal, whom he had three children with. He continued to write and many of his works became shows and plays. He died on November 23, 1990.

As an elementary schooler, I immensely enjoyed this book, it is the most famous of Roald Dahl's children book. It is about a boy that lives with hi horrid relatives, only to find himself exploring the world with oversized bugs in a giant peach.
