Mountain Lion Minute
Last Week of School!
Mountain Lion Families,
As this very unusual school year draws to a close, I would like to thank you for your kindness, grace, and cooperation as our faculty and staff members worked to provide quality learning experiences for our students and to support their efforts to learn in various formats. The flexibility, tenacity and creativity that our students have shown as they have navigated this new and different way of accessing their education has been amazing to watch. They are resilient and we know that they will come through this difficult time having learned important lessons about themselves as learners.
I am extremely grateful for our teachers and staff. They have shown innovation and persistence to make sure learning doesn't stop. To completely rework what teaching looks like, to work tirelessly to connect to students and families and to do it with passion, flexibility and grace shows me how deeply invested they are in teaching and nurturing our students.
To our 6th grade students: You’re on your way to seek new adventures and to dream new dreams. “What comes easy won’t last. What lasts won’t come easy.” Remember to embrace life with passion and to keep working toward your dreams.
I want to say a special thank you to all our parents that helped in any capacity this past year, especially our Home and School Association. There are not enough words to thank you for everything you do for our students during “normal” times, but especially now. We are so grateful for your caring, encouragement, time and patience. Thank you for helping to make Montgomery a special place.
I wish you a safe and healthy summer and look forward to seeing our Mountain Lions again in the fall.
