ROBOTICS, SCIENCE AND STEM EXPO
The Robotics, Science, and STEM Expo was a huge success on Wednesday!! We had over 100 students present their INCREDIBLE projects! Work featured was created in their robotics, STEM, FUSE, PLTW, science, and art classes. It was a beautiful event!! We even had WILX News 10 stop in to create a feature for this morning's version of Schools Rule! Thank you to Emma Norris, and her mom Brelan Norris, for sharing their thoughts!! Concord could not possibly pull off these outstanding programs without teachers that were willing to innovate and truly create learner-centered classrooms. THANK YOU TO THE AMAZING STAFF THAT MADE THIS POSSIBLE!!!
BIOMEDICAL PATHWAY COMERCIAL
This week Concord launched their Biomedical Pathway Commercial. The commercial should be streamed across multiple media platforms. The commercial features our K-12 students and some FABULOUS alumni!! The Biomedical Pathway Commercial is the third commercial in a series that will feature all seven of our academic pathways over the next couple of years. Last year we featured our robotics and art programs. Thank you to all of our students that were willing to be apart of making this happen.
7TH GRADE ANCIENT GREECE OLYMPIC GAMES
On Wednesday, 7th graders spent the afternoon participating in a variety of activities based on the Olympics. Among the several civilizations that the students learned about this year was Ancient Greece, the founder of the Olympic Games. Students were placed on five teams and participated in a combination of mental, physical, and team-building competitions in order to earn points for their team.
PROM 2022 - IT'S A MASQUERADE BALL!
The junior class honors this year’s graduating seniors with a masquerade ball at the Cascades Manor 1970 Kibby Road, Jackson from 7-11pm. There is still an opportunity for families to help the junior class make this an exciting evening. We are looking for gift card donations for a raffle that evening; ideas include gas cards, restaurant cards, or cards that could be used toward dorm room supplies. Any gift cards can be dropped off in the high school office next week between Monday and Friday. We are also in need of a few more chaperones and would like to invite sophomore parents to consider a shift from 6:30-8:30 pm or from 8:30-10:30 pm. Please email amy.kelly@concordschools.net if you are available.
YELLOWJACKET OF THE WEEK!
This week's trait is being decisive. Being decisive is the ability to recognize key factors (what really matters) and finalize difficult decisions. Yet, many people become paralyzed (scared) when asked to make a decision, weighing the pros and cons for so long that by the time they've made up their minds, their options have evaporated.
These YellowJackets of the Week demonstrate being decisive. Congratulations! #ONEHIVE
The Concord Chronicle has done an amazing job featuring our seniors. This week you can find Paityn DeForest highlighted in the Chronicle. Thank you, Rylee Sinden, for featuring this amazing Concord Senior!!

K-2 BASKETBALL CAMP
Mrs. Arbuckle and Mrs. Hotchkin put on a basketball camp for our kindergartners through second graders this week. It was an excellent turnout with 53 students participating in the camp.
Students had fun while practicing basic basketball skills such as ball handling, footwork, form shooting, and defense.
Each student left camp with a basketball and a super cool shirt designed by Mr. Stevens.
A special thanks also go out to the Concord PTO for donating snacks and all of our amazing volunteer coaches.
The future looks bright for Concord basketball. Hopefully, we are able to make this camp an annual event. Go Jackets!!

INFORMATION FOR PARENTS ABOUT A NETFLIX SHOW STUDENTS ARE WATCHING
We want to make you aware of a Netflix show that kids are talking about here at school and that seemingly has content that is not appropriate for younger kids to watch. The show is called Squid Games and it has repetitive violence throughout it that is connected to themes generally associated with children (like outdoor games, ie: Red Light Green Light). The content can be traumatic for children to watch and is leading to increased anxiety among children as it can be extremely gruesome. The next thing to be aware of is a mobile video game called Among Us. It is a murder-mystery game where cartoon-like characters use weapons to kill each other. A great resource to check out in regards to dangerous media
