Welcome Parr to the Pack
Anna ISD is proud to announce Seth Parr as the district's new athletic director and head football coach. Parr has 19 years of experience in middle and high school athletics and coached one of the top Class 5A programs in the state this past season.
Most recently, Parr served as athletic coordinator and head football coach at Lubbock ISD. During his tenure in Lubbock, Parr was 59-26 in seven seasons as Coronado High School’s coach, made the playoffs the last five years, and his 2017 team reached the 5A Division I Region I final before losing to Denton Ryan.
“My goal is to build a premier program that competes for District and State titles year in and year out,” Parr said. “With the support of the school district and community, great things can be accomplished. Anna is in a position to do just that.”
"Out of 195 applicants, I have no doubt that Coach Parr is the best candidate to lead our athletes to great levels of success,” Superintendent Michael Comeaux said. “I am confident that his passion, energy, and commitment to kids will help us accomplish our shared vision of tremendous achievements and victories for many years to come.”
In addition to his experience in Lubbock, Parr has served as the head football coach and athletic coordinator at 4A Caprock High School in Amarillo. Before that, he was the assistant head football coach and offensive coordinator at 5A Palo Duro High School in Amarillo.
Parr will replace Jason Heath, who has moved into an administrative role as Anna ISD’s facilities manager, helping with district growth and construction development. Heath was Anna’s coach for nine seasons and the athletic director for eight.
Coach Parr, his wife, Ann, and their two daughters, Autumn (sophomore) and Danika (4th grade), are excited to join the Coyote Pack. Parr will start with Anna ISD on February 1.
