Math and Literacy
Over the next few weeks, we will reading many Dr. Seuss books as we prepare for Read Across America Day on March 2nd (Dr. Seuss' birthday!) Dr. Seuss books are great for practicing rhyming, so we will focus on that once again. We will also continue to practice letter recognition and letter sounds on a daily basis. In math we will be making and reading graphs. We will be voting on our favorite Dr. Seuss book, and then graphing the results.
The Cat in the Hat
One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish
The Lorax
Writers' Workshop
In Writers' Workshop we will be using a website called mystorybook.com to create e-books as a class. We will review staying on topic, and adding pictures and words to the stories we create.
